Transformation Is a Spectrum

You can see at least 2 types of transformation:

On one hand you got: “The curse twist my body into an unholy mockery of life and reduces me into the base instincts of a beast”

And on the other we got: “Standby, Henshin!”

The first is the classical werewolf curse in any flavour you prefer. It is transformation as a violation. Your body is taken over and corrupted for nefarious reasons. Your own self is consumed and you agency is removed. Most of the horror comes exactly from that. Even if a lot of these stories focus on everything but the transformed.

Do your remember the 00s? Probably not, objectively it was over 20 years ago and no matter how i would like to spin it to feel younger that is a sizeable chunk of any person life.

But if you are as old as me to remember it and watched anime in any way shape or form then you probably remember that cat girls where incredible popular in that era.

So you probably would be surprised to now i was really into Tokusatsu when i was but a wee lad. Like very much so. Formatively so. Of course back then i did not know it was called Tokusatsu i only knew the name was Power Rangers and love it.

The Mario Galaxy Movie and Franchising

Went of to see the Mario movie… Loved it to bits! It feels very weird to me to be the direct demographic of any product. Even since i was a child i always felt like the odd one out. So it is a welcome feeling.

Regarding the movie itself i thing it is a 9/10 no really any notes. I did disliked Fox thoroughly though.

Nintendo despite having IPs that are older than most of us is quite resistant to these inter franchise movements. Everybody loves Midna from Twilight princess both as a character and in less wholesome ways, and despite that and Nintendo knowing that she only ever appeared in Twilight Princess and will likely never appear elsewhere.

I hate Lol

Not in the abstract sense everyone does for the community or whatever. I have good reasons:

So from the start Lol came stealing gameplay loop from DOTA which was a mod for Warcraft made in 2003 that is almost as old as Twokinds. DOTA was basically the original MOBA, and personally have no problem with that on principle it was clearly a passion project and people liked it. It was an alternative to standard Warcraft.
